Preparing for Your EUS

- Mention if you have diabetes so your medication and fasting can be planned safely
- Arrange for someone to accompany you home, since sedation means you should not drive afterward
Recovery and follow-up
- Sedation wears off within an hour, after which you rest in the recovery bay until you are fully alert.
- Most people eat normally the same evening and return to work the next day unless a therapeutic step was performed.
